In addition, exceptional back-pumping makes the seal it suitable to work with a double-lipped scraper. Manufactured in Zurcon®, the Trelleborg Sealing Solutions proprietary polyurethane material, Zurcon® U-Cup RU9 can be used as a rod or piston seal. It has a trimmed sealing lip while slide segments give improved back-pumping ability. The seal incorporates expansion-free space for increased extrusion resistance and reduced friction at the dynamic contact surface.
